Learn how to add your friends to your Playtomic booking, whether during the booking process or after you've already reserved your court.
When Can I Add Friends?
You can add friends to your booking at two different times:
- During the booking process: Before completing your payment
- After booking: Once you've already made your reservation
💡 Tip: We recommend adding all your friends before the match starts, especially if you're using the shared payment option. This ensures everyone can pay their share on time.
How to Add Friends During Booking
If you want to add friends while making your reservation:
- Click on "Add players" before proceeding to payment
- Search for players using their name, email, or phone number (include country code for phone numbers)
📱 Quick Tip: If you've allowed Playtomic to access your contacts, you can select friends directly from your phonebook. All contacts with a Playtomic profile will be displayed automatically. Enable this in your smartphone settings under app permissions. |
How to Add Friends After Booking
Already made your booking? No problem! Here's how to add friends afterward:
- Open your match details
- Look for the + button where it says "invite"
- Click the button and add your friends
Important note: If you're the only one in the booking, only two out of three empty places will appear active for adding friends. This is normal! The fourth place will activate once there are three players in the match.
Alternative Method: Let Friends Add Themselves
Players can also add themselves to your booking independently using the match link. Here's how to share it:
- Click the share icon at the top right of your match details
- Choose one of three options:
- Share externally: Share directly on WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, or other platforms
- Copy link: The link copies to your clipboard so you can send it however you like
- Forward by chat: Send the match link in a private chat within Playtomic
Troubleshooting
I can't find my friend when searching
Make sure you're entering their information correctly:
- Check the spelling of their name (it must match the username they use on Playtomic)
- For phone numbers, include the country code (e.g., +1 for US, +44 for UK)
- Verify they have a Playtomic account
Why can I only see two invite slots when I'm alone?
This is normal behavior. When you're the only player in a 4-player match, you'll see two active invite slots. The third slot will appear once you have three players in the match.
My contacts aren't showing up
Enable contact access for Playtomic:
- Go to your smartphone settings
- Find the Playtomic app
- Enable contact permissions
