Cancellation Policy for Open Matches (Padel & Tennis)

Cancelling Your Spot

Match not full yet? Cancel anytime before it starts—no restrictions.

Match is full? You can cancel up to 24 hours before the start time.

Within 24 hours of a full match, cancellations aren't possible through the app.

⚠️ Important: In case of rain or bad weather, we suggest you contact the club to find out what options are available in these situations. The club reserves the right to make exceptions to the standard cancellation policy.

When Is the Court Reserved?

Courts are automatically booked based on how many players have joined:

  • 2 players: Court reserved if more than 12 hours until match time
  • 3 players: Court reserved if more than 4 hours until match time
  • 4 players: Court always reserved

Why Would a Match Be Cancelled?

Matches may be automatically cancelled if:

  • Not enough players join before the start time
  • The court becomes unavailable at the club

Our system predicts match completion based on time, club popularity, and player patterns.

How Refunds Work

If your match is cancelled, you'll automatically receive a refund:

  • Card payment: 2-10 business days
  • Club Wallet: Instant refund

💡 Good to know: Cancelled matches can't be restored. You'll need to create or join a new one.

  • How can I reject a score on playtomic when the score is already put up.

    0
  • Hi Sadik,👋

If the score is still pending, the opposing team can reject it from the match result screen during the validation period. Results are automatically confirmed after 24 hours if no one rejects or edits them, and players have up to 7 days after the match to add or update a result.

If the score has already been confirmed, it can't be changed in the app. In that case, please contact Playtomic Customer Care and explain how you would like to change the result in the match chat. If both teams agree in the chat, Customer Care can review the evidence and correct the result if appropriate. If the teams can't reach an agreement, Customer Care won't be able to change the result.

    Have a great day! 😊🎾

  • FEATURE REQUEST

I understand that the cancellation policy within 24hrs is there to protect the club's revenue and protect other players from ghosting.

But can you please consider including a "substitute" option for when a player organises a replacement within the 24hrs?  This would allow the game to go ahead and for the score to be recorded accurately.  Genuine emergencies do occur within 24hrs and it would be helpful to have this option, whilst still offering the same level of protection to the club and other players.  Thanks.

  • Hi Benjamin,

Thanks for your questions! You can check for padel clubs and matches in your area directly in the Playtomic app. Tap “Book a court”, then search for your area to find nearby clubs. From a club’s profile, you can book a private match in the “Book” tab and check availability. You can also look for existing open matches in the “Open matches” tab, or create one yourself and be the first player.

Playtomic is still growing in Indiana, so it’s completely normal if you don’t find many clubs or matches yet. We hope to offer more options in the area soon!

As for pickleball and racquetball, they share some basics like quick reactions, positioning, and hand-eye coordination, but they’re quite different. Pickleball is closer to tennis, while racquetball is more similar to squash. Pickleball is also generally easier for beginners and less physically demanding.

Hope this helps, and we hope you have fun using the app!

    Take care!😊
