Sign Up and Manage Recurring Payments for Courses

When you sign up for a course with recurring payments, you'll be charged automatically at regular intervals until the course ends.

Understanding Payment Options

When a club creates a course, they set up the payment structure. Clubs can offer the following payment types for a course:

  • Upfront (single payment)
  • Monthly
  • Custom recurring payments

As a player, you’ll see the payment type the club has set up when you view the course in the app. The payment type is determined by the club’s configuration for that course and can’t be chosen by the player at enrollment.

How to sign up for a monthly course

There are two ways to enroll:

  • Club enrollment: Your club adds you to a course. You'll receive an email and push notification to confirm your enrollment in the Playtomic app.

  • Self-enrollment: Browse courses in the app by going to HomeLearn tab, then apply filters (filter icon in the top left corner) and change Activity type to Courses. You can also visit the club's profile and select the Academy tab.

To complete enrollment:

  1. Select your course to view details and the class schedule in the Classes tab.
  2. If the club has enabled monthly payments, you'll see an Payment Plan button showing the payment schedule for each month.
  3. Select Confirm monthly payment.

  4. Add your payment method and complete checkout in the app to pay the first installment.

Automatic payments for future months

When you complete sign-up, you'll be charged immediately for the first month's installment. After that, future installments will be automatically charged on the first day of each month. Your subscription will continue until the course ends.

If your course has a custom payment plan

Some courses use a custom payment plan (for example, quarterly payments, academic terms, or uneven periods). In these courses:

  1. You’ll see a payment plan showing each period’s date range and price.
  2. You’ll pay the current period at enrollment.
  3. Future periods will appear as pending and will be charged automatically on your card
  4. If you join mid-course, you’ll pay the period that corresponds to the dates you’re joining for. Future periods will remain as pending payments.

A custom payment plan works a lot like monthly payments, but with a few key differences:

  • Payment dates can vary (they don’t necessarily fall on the first day of each month—each period’s payment date depends on how the club sets up the period).
  • Payment periods can be customized by the club (for example: Sep–Dec, Jan–Mar, Apr–Jun).
  • Installment amounts may change from one period to the next.

When you enroll, you’ll see the full payment plan (all periods, dates, and prices). 

 

Viewing your course classes

You can find your upcoming classes in different places in the app:

  1. In your Profile going to → Your activityClassesYour classes tab.
  2. At the top of the Home screen in the Your next activity carousel
  3. From the Home screen tap on LearnYour classes tab

In Your classes, use the Type of classes filter and choose:

  • Courses to see all your enrolled courses, then select one and open the Classes tab
  • Course Classes to see a date-ordered list of all your course classes

FAQ

  • Can I make an onsite payment? 
    Yes, if you don't confirm your monthly payment in the app, you can pay monthly at the club.
  • What happens if the club adds you to the course and marks the first payment as paid at the club? 
    If the club enrolls you in a monthly course, they can manually mark payments as "paid" until you subscribe in the app. This means you can pay the first month(s) on-site, but you still have the option to subscribe online later. Once you subscribe and save your card, all future payments will be charged automatically online.
  • Can I pay onsite if I have an active online subscription? 
    No, you cannot pay for future months onsite with an active subscription. However, you can pay for past due or failed payments onsite.
  • What payment methods are accepted? 
    Credit/debit card.
  • When will I be charged for a future course?
    The first fee is charged when you confirm the monthly payment and add your credit card.
  • When will I be charged for a course that's already started?
    You'll be charged for the current month when you add your credit card.
