Playtomic allows you to create your match, not only in Playtomic clubs, but also in any private court or sports facility in the World. This feature is called Community Match.
Understanding Community Matches
Community Matches do not include court bookings or payments through the Playtomic app. When you create a Community Match, you are responsible for:
- Contacting the sports facility directly to book the court
- Paying for the court reservation on your own
- Coordinating with other players on splitting the court costs
Players who join your Community Match will not be charged any fee in the app. If you make your community match public, other players can see and join it, but Playtomic does not handle any payments or bookings.
Steps to create your Community Match
To create a match in a court that is not in Playtomic app:
- Go to the "Find a match" tab in the app
- Click on the "Start a match" button
- The process up to this point is exactly the same as creating an open match. On the next screen, you'll see two options:
"In a Playtomic Club" – This is used to create an Open Match
"I already know where I'm playing" – Select this option to create a Community Match - Click on "Next" and fill in the following information:
- Sport: padel or tennis
- Location: here you can choose among the locations you have created in the past or search for a new location
- Date and Time
- Number of players: single or double
- Match type and level: you can choose if it will be a casual or competitive match
- Mark court as booked: (optional) if you activate this option, you will be able to add a price per person. Note that the match creator is responsible for collecting payments from other players
- Mark the match as private: if you activate this button, only the players you share the match link with, will be able to join - Finally click on "Create match" to save all the changes.
💡If you don't have other players to join you yet, you can share the link of your match on your social media to find players.
💡When a player signs up or is removed from your match, you will receive a notification in the app.

How to cancel a community match you have organized:
- Go to your Profile, then Your Activity, and select Matches. Select the match you want to cancel and click on the 3 dots at the top right:
- Click on Cancel
As an organizer, you can cancel the match you have created at any time ✌️
Additional actions you can take on your Community Match
As the organizer, you have full control to manage your match:
- Remove players: Go to the match and click "Edit" players, then click the red cross on the player icon to delete them. Players can also remove themselves using the "Leave match" option
- Add to calendar: Click on the "Calendar" option from the main menu of the match (note: if you have multiple calendars, the event will be added to your default calendar)
- Chat with players: Use the built-in chat to communicate with all registered players. They will receive push notifications if they have Playtomic notifications enabled.
How to distinguish between Playtomic Open Matches and Community Matches
When browsing available matches, look for these visual differences:
- Playtomic Open Matches: Display the Playtomic icon and show a price per person in the bottom right corner
- Community Matches: Have no Playtomic icon and display no joining fee, since payment is not handled through the app
